SAP Logistics Expert for Critical Post-Go-Live & Hypercare Situation

Project overview

For an internationally active supplier in the manufacturing industry with production sites in Germany and Hungary, an experienced SAP Logistics Expert is sought at short notice. Following an SAP S/4HANA Go-Live, challenges currently exist in the cross-plant (intercompany) logistics processes, leading to increased process complexity and lead time losses in material flow between the sites.

YOUR CHALLENGE

YOUR TALENTS

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Initial 6 months, extension option
• Remote/On-Site: Hybrid, predominantly on-site in Hungary; occasional appointments in Germany possible
• Workload: 100%, flexible coordination of on-site assignments
• Analysis of end-to-end supply chain processes from material planning and order processing to shipping and delivery date confirmation
• Investigation and optimization of SAP intercompany processes, especially plant-to-plant transfers
• Identification and prioritization of root causes for delivery bottlenecks, backlogs, and lack of process transparency
• Clear distinction between system errors, process problems, organizational deficits, and manual workarounds
• Evaluation of Excel-based transition solutions and reintegration into robust SAP standard processes
• Creation of transparency regarding orders, confirmations, material availability, stock levels, production, and shipping status
• Definition and operational implementation of a prioritized recovery action plan with responsibilities and deadlines
• Close coordination of collaboration between SAP/IT, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, and Management
• Follow-up of measures on-site and ensuring measurable improvements
• Regular management reporting on causes, progress, risks, and decision needs

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Senior SAP Logistics or Supply Chain Expert
• Profound practical experience with SAP S/4HANA and cross-plant material flows
• Proven experience with intercompany processes in production and logistics
• Experience in post-go-live, hypercare, or recovery situations
• Very good skills in root cause analysis and process stabilization
• Hands-on mentality and willingness for regular on-site assignments in Hungary
• Fluent communication in English
