Introduction

For a renowned media and technology company based in Berlin, we are looking for an experienced SAP / OpenText VIM Consultant & Developer (m/f/d) to support us on a freelance basis as soon as possible.

In this role, you will support the continuous further development and optimization of existing invoice management processes (OpenText VIM / SAP S/4HANA) and significantly assist the team in resolving process disruptions and implementing audit and compliance requirements.

• 31.01.2027 + Option for extension
• Location: 2 days/week onsite in Berlin & 1 day/week remote
• Utilization: Part-time (60%)
• Project languages are German and English

Responsibilities

Our Requirements

• Analysis of existing process flows and system configurations in the VIM environment
• Conception, consulting, and technical implementation of optimization and further development measures
• Performing customizing, parameterization, and technical adjustments within OpenText VIM
• Development in the SAP backend using ABAP and ABAP OO, as well as implementation and adaptation of Fiori interfaces with SAPUI5 and OData services
• Consulting on the integration of new functions into the existing system architecture
• Conducting functional and integration tests in collaboration with the business departments, including compliant documentation
• Systematic investigation and resolution of reported errors and process disruptions in the OpenText VIM environment
• Evaluation and processing of audit findings related to invoice processing
• Derivation, implementation, and support of necessary corrective actions in the system, including coordination with the affected departments
• Consulting on the follow-up and sustainable closure of open audit and compliance points
• Several years of consulting and implementation experience in the OpenText VIM environment
• Several years of consulting experience in the SAP FI environment, preferably on S/4HANA
• Profound knowledge of SAP FI and SAP Business Workflow
• Very good development skills in ABAP OO, cross-module custom developments, SAP Fiori, OData Services, and SAPUI5
• Experienced in optimizing ABAP programs according to Clean Code principles and familiar with modern SAP architectures
• Very good German language skills (written and spoken) and good English language skills for the international project environment
