SAP Project Manager - MES

Project overview

A globally active company in the regulated manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager - MES to support a large-scale enterprise transformation program.

In this role, you will play a key part in migrating multiple SAP ERP environments to a global S/4HANA template while overseeing the integration and deployment of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a complex technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES-related workstreams in a large SAP transformation program
• Coordinate integrations between SAP, MES, and connected enterprise applications
• Manage delivery across design, build, test, validation, deployment, and hypercare phases
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between business, IT, manufacturing, and external partners
• Monitor program risks, dependencies, release planning, and deployment readiness
• Support governance of testing strategies, cutover activities, and production releases
• Ensure alignment between global standards and local manufacturing requirements
• Manage vendors, stakeholders, and delivery teams across multiple locations

Requirements

• Proven experience leading SAP transformation programs in manufacturing environments
• Solid understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA programs
• Expertise in system integrations, testing, and deployment activities
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple vendors and delivery teams
• Ability to work effectively in large global organizations
