SAP Project Manager - S/4HANA Global Template Rollout, Remote EU (US hours)

Responsibilities

REQUIRED PROFILE

Applications are handled by AP Staffing Limited, specialist SAP contract recruitment.

• Bring a newly acquired business onto an existing S/4HANA global template.
• Run the programme day to day: activities, open issues, test phases, and pulling in whoever is needed to clear a blocker.
• Dig into functional problems and work out where they sit before handing them on. Escalation on its own is not the job.
• Work with the solution architect and the in-house functional teams on the target operating model.
• Map where the incoming business differs from the global template, and drive each of those gaps to a decision.
• Support end-to-end and integration testing across SAP and the connected planning, logistics and freight systems.
• Line up the business people for UAT and keep them engaged through it.
• Help define the business processes the incoming organisation will run on.
• Support user training, and guide people who have never worked in SAP before.
• Work across business teams in Europe and North America, and an IT function in a different time zone.
• SAP functional depth enough to diagnose a problem yourself in master data, configuration and pricing.
• Delivery coordination across several workstreams and functions at once.
• Global template rollouts, and reconciling local requirements against a template.
• Complex system integrations across SAP and non-SAP.
• Comfortable with business users who are new to SAP and need bringing along.
• Order-to-cash background an advantage. The role is wider than a single stream.
• A hybrid delivery and solution job. Not a pure project manager, and not a hands-on configuration role.
• Able to work hours shifted later in the European day.
