As part of a major IT system transformation program, SAFRAN is preparing the migration of its SAP ECC6 environment to SAP S/4HANA.

This international program, with a projected duration of four years, involves 12 SAP modules, with a strong industrial and operational focus.

The current environment presents significant complexity:

The program is entering its launch phase. Scoping is due to begin in January 2027.

SAFRAN has made the strategic choice to manage this transformation with its own teams, without using an external integrator.

The organization relies on about twenty internal employees, structured notably around pairs combining business and IT skills.

SAFRAN now wishes to recruit an experienced SAP S/4HANA Program Director, capable of bringing proven methodology and securing the entire transformation.

• Historical SAP ECC6, heavily customized
• Approximately 400 applications and specific developments, the analysis and processing of which will be a major challenge
• A functional scope centered mainly on industrial processes, not just financial processes
• Several countries and entities involved in the program
• Significant challenges in integration, operational continuity, and business process transformation
• Lead the initial scoping phase
• Evaluate the existing SAP ECC6 and its many specificities
• Contribute to defining the transformation strategy towards S/4HANA
• Build the multi-year roadmap, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
• Identify technical, functional, and organizational risks
• Deploy a structured methodology, inspired by the best practices of major consulting and integration firms
• Define governance bodies, responsibilities, and decision-making processes
• Implement steering, reporting, and risk management tools
• Ensure coordination of the various stakeholders, in France and internationally
• Coordinate work on the 12 SAP modules
• Lead internal IT and business teams
• Oversee the strategy for handling specific developments and interfaces
• Secure the design, realization, testing, migration, and go-live phases
• Ensure transverse program consistency and continuity of industrial operations
• Lead and unite internal teams
• Challenge functional and technical choices
• Identify potential needs for complementary SAP expertise
• Support skills transfer and the development of team autonomy
