Responsibilities

The subject of the assignment is consulting on the conception and evaluation of technical SAP architectures as well as technology and platform decisions. The focus is particularly on SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, integration and extension architectures, as well as the application of Clean Core principles.

The contractor advises on the development of technical solution options, their evaluation, and the derivation of concrete architecture specifications and recommendations. The goal is to develop sustainable, standardized, and strategy-compliant technical solution architectures for the SAP system landscape and to prepare technical architecture decisions in a comprehensible manner.

• Conduct a structured analysis of the current situation and develop and document target, solution, and implementation scenarios in the context of the client's IT landscape.
• Analyze problems and requirements, and develop and document action options, including strategic assessment and recommendation.
• Conception and evaluation of technical SAP architectures, taking into account existing systems, interfaces, platforms, and architectural specifications.
• Advise on technology and platform decisions, particularly regarding SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, on-stack and side-by-side extensions, and integration solutions.
• Develop and further develop technical architecture specifications and architecture patterns, especially for integration, extensibility, SAP BTP, and Clean Core.
• Conduct architecture reviews to assess compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and strategies, and document deviations and recommendations.
• Advise on updating the M4I architecture principles with a focus on technical specifications for the SAP system landscape.
• Present and evaluate new architecture patterns and their application possibilities within the SAP system landscape.
• Advise on the development and further development of the strategic SAP landscape from a technical architecture perspective.
• Develop and document technical architecture decisions and recommendations as a basis for comprehensible and consistent further development of the SAP system landscape.
• Profound technical architecture knowledge in the SAP environment, especially SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, integration, extension, and application architectures in complex system landscapes. (> 5 years of experience)
• Profound technology and platform knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and SAP Integration Suite, as well as modern SAP extension and integration concepts. (> 5 years of experience)
• Experience in the conception and evaluation of technical SAP architectures and the derivation of technical architecture specifications for complex SAP system landscapes. (> 5 years of experience)
• Experience with SAP BTP and the conception and evaluation of on-stack and side-by-side extension architectures, considering Clean Core. (> 3 years of experience)
• Experience in evaluating SAP technologies, platforms, and solution alternatives, as well as deriving well-founded technical architecture recommendations. (> 5 years of experience)
• Experience in the conception of SAP integration architectures, especially with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and synchronous and asynchronous integration scenarios.

• Experience in developing and applying technical architecture principles, architecture patterns, and specifications, as well as in conducting architecture reviews.
