Client

As a Financial Service Center (FDC), we are part of the DSU directorate. The FDC is an interdepartmental collaboration under the responsibility of SZW. The FDC was established in 2015 and currently manages the financial system for the following departments/core ministries: BZK, Financiën, OCW, SZW, VRO, and VWS. For this, we use the widely used SAP system, which we call SAP 3F. Over 160 billion euros in payments were processed in 2024 at the Financial Service Center (FDC) in The Hague. Large sums and political interests are involved here. Over 110 colleagues work at the FDC.

Hiring of a Senior Information Architect SAP ABAP/Web Dynpro/Workflow to support technical application management activities within the Management cluster.

• Managing the Web Dynpro ABAP programming realized for 3F, including processes for budget preparation, commitments, and payments.
• Coordinating development and management activities with the FDC Management cluster.
• Making estimates and calculations for development work based on functional specifications and change requests.
• Translating business requirements/functional design into a functional/technical design for developments in ABAP, ABAP (OO), Web Dynpro/ABAP, and SAP Workflow.
• Aligning solutions with SAP's standard solution capabilities.
• Building solutions based on ABAP, ABAP (OO), Web Dynpro/ABAP, and SAP Workflow.
• Performing unit tests and reporting on realized solutions, including offering them for delivery.
• Compiling configuration documentation.
• Preparing and checking transports.
• Knowledge transfer to the FDC Management cluster.
• Analyzing and resolving findings and test incidents.
• Reporting on the progress of activities to the FDC Management cluster manager.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in designing and developing with ABAP, ABAP (OO), Web Dynpro/ABAP, and SAP Workflow.
• Experience with customization within the FI, CO, PSM, and BW solutions.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in testing and challenging technical issues.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum.
• Knowledge and experience with government, KFI processes, and specifically 3F and WijBestellen is a plus.
• Experience with Personal Object Worklist (POWL) is a plus.
• Solid and demonstrable knowledge of the SAP Business Technology Platform and ICT infrastructure.
• Management/leadership competencies are desired.
• Experience with guiding (end) users.
• Experience with 3F is a plus.
• Experience with architectural principles.
• Conceptual knowledge of information system management.
• Conceptual knowledge of information system maintenance.
• Experience with design and programming tools for ABAP, ABAP (OO), Web Dynpro/ABAP, and SAP Workflow.

• Extensive experience with the programming languages ABAP, ABAP (OO), Web Dynpro/ABAP, and SAP Workflow is required.

Requirements

1 Candidate possesses at least a university (WO) work/thinking level. (Verifiable in CV and motivation (evident from completed education and/or at least 5 years of work experience at WO level).

2 Candidate possesses demonstrable experience in designing and developing ABAP, ABAP (OO), Webdynpro/ABAP, and SAP workflow.

3 Candidate possesses demonstrable knowledge of the SAP Business Technology platform and ICT infrastructure.

Preferences

1 Degree to which the candidate has demonstrable experience with customization within the FI, CO, PSM, and BW solutions.

2 Degree to which the candidate has demonstrable experience with leadership competencies, evidenced by vision, decisiveness, and experience in managing teams.

3 Degree to which the candidate has demonstrable experience with government, KFI processes, and specifically 3F and WijBestellen.

4 Degree to which the candidate demonstrably meets the specified technical skills (verifiable in CV, motivation, and/or possible interview).
