Project overview
Scala Developer required for a long-term contract, offering a remote working and competitive rates.
Active SC Clearance is required.
You'll join a live services engineering team, developing and supporting Scala-based microservices and APIs while contributing to technology projects.
Key duties:
Technical Skills
Strong commercial experience with Scala and functional programming is essential. Experience developing microservices, working with the Play Framework, building APIs and supporting production services is highly desirable.

- Must already be SC Cleared
- Inside IR35
- Design, develop and enhance Scala-based microservices.
- Build clean, efficient and testable Back End services and APIs.
- Work with the Play Framework and functional programming principles.
- Collaborate with developers, testers and product teams in an Agile environment.
- Support live production services, troubleshoot issues and maintain service reliability.
- Contribute to code quality, testing and continuous improvement.
- Strong Scala development experience.
- Good understanding of functional programming principles.
- Experience building and testing microservices and APIs.
- Comfortable working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
