School Social Worker for Merianschule (SBBZ)
The Merianschule is a Special Pedagogical Education and Counseling Center (SBBZ) with a focus on learning support. We accompany children and adolescents in grades 1 to 9 on their academic and personal journey and create a learning and living environment where relationships, reliability, and individual support play a central role.
Our students bring diverse life stories, different cultural backgrounds, and very different personal strengths and challenges. A large part of the student body has a migration background. Many children and adolescents grow up under socially and familially challenging conditions. Therefore, a school where young people experience appreciation, orientation, support, and reliable relationships is all the more important to us.
In everyday school life, teachers, educators, school social workers, and other pedagogical specialists work closely together. We see different professional perspectives as an enrichment. Together, we look for sustainable solutions and support services that are oriented towards the individual needs and life situations of our students. School social work relates to holistic, life-world-related, and life-situation-oriented support and help for students.
