Scrum Master/Agile Delivery Lead - Trading Data Platforms

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master/Agile Delivery Lead to support a large-scale data ingestion programme within a trading environment.

You will enable a cross-functional team of Data Engineers, QA specialists and Business Analysts to ingest business data from approximately 150-200 source applications into an enterprise data platform hosted on Microsoft Azure and Databricks.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring a combination of trading domain knowledge, ETRM systems knowledge and proven data platform delivery experience.

We are seeking someone who can demonstrate practical, team-level delivery of data platforms, supported by the required trading knowledge and technology experience.

• Drive day-to-day Agile delivery across data ingestion and platform workstreams, maintaining clear priorities and visibility of progress.
• Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and cross-team planning.
• Partner with Product Owners and engineering leads to translate complex data requirements into achievable delivery increments.
• Remove blockers and manage risks and dependencies across source application owners, engineering, testing and business teams.
• Coordinate delivery across ingestion, transformation, data quality, migration, testing and releases.
• Use Jira reporting and Lean/Agile metrics to improve delivery flow, forecasting and predictability.
• Coach teams in Scrum, Kanban and continuous improvement, building effective collaboration.
• Work with platform leadership to align team delivery with programme objectives.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead, working directly with data engineering and cross-functional technology teams.
• Trading experience within financial services and/or energy trading, with an understanding of trading and risk processes.
• Knowledge of ETRM

• Prior delivery experience involving both data warehousing and data migration.
• Technology delivery experience involving Databricks, Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing.
• Experience delivering within a Microsoft Azure environment.
• Strong understanding of data ingestion, transformation, source-system dependencies, data quality and testing.
• Demonstrable experience managing blockers, delivery risks, cross-team dependencies and releases.
• Strong Agile facilitation, coaching, stakeholder management and Jira reporting skills.
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Openlink Endur or other ETRM platforms.
• Scrum Master or Agile coaching certifications, such as PSM, CSM or SAFe.
