Security Architect (IAM/PAM) position to be filled at our client in the banking industry in Zurich.

Responsibilities

• Define and document Zero-Trust principles and a target architecture for identity and context-based security models.
• Analyze the existing architecture and assess the current situation in the areas of IAM/PAM, AD/Entra, network segmentation, endpoint security, cloud platforms, APIs, service identities, secrets management, data classification, and telemetry/logging.
• Develop a Zero-Trust domain model along the dimensions of Identity, Devices, Network, Applications/Workloads, and Data, as well as across Visibility, Automation, and Governance.
• Define technical capabilities, dependencies, and guardrails as binding guidelines for subsequent projects and platform teams.
• Prioritize and support concrete Zero-Trust use cases such as Admin Access, Third-Party Access, Developer Access, Cloud Workloads, and Non-Person Identities.
• Select, design, and support technical MVPs/pilots to validate architectural assumptions and reduce risks.
• Several years of experience in security architecture with a focus on IAM/PAM, network and segmentation architecture, cloud security, application security, and data security.
• Profound understanding of Zero-Trust concepts and established reference models, especially NIST Zero Trust.
• Experience in large, regulated environments, ideally in the banking or financial sector.
• Strong understanding of translating strategic security requirements into concrete technical architectures and programs.
• Language skills: German
• Strong communication skills and confident demeanor when interacting with various stakeholders.
• Analytical and structured thinking for complex architecture and transformation projects.
• High degree of personal responsibility and the ability to set priorities in a dynamic environment.
