The Security Consultant will technically conduct the assessment and support the client in evaluating the switch from on-premises operation to a SaaS solution. They will assess the security, data protection, and compliance requirements and prepare the results as a comprehensible, provider-neutral basis for the client's decision. Overall management and coordination with management lie with the client. Data protection assessments will be carried out in coordination with the client's responsible departments.

• Project start: immediately
• Duration / Volume: 45 PT, follow-up assignment is possible
• Consultant availability: Minimum 50%. We plan for a utilization of at least 50% or more. Due to dependencies and third-party cooperation obligations, temporal shifts or delays may occur during the project.
• Daily rate: 680 EUR (or best can)
• No Nearshore

• Technical execution of the assessment and coordination with the client and involved departments.
• Collection and evaluation of relevant specifications, concepts, and evidence from the existing environment, software vendors, hyperscalers, and other providers.
• Evaluation of the changed operational, support, and security responsibilities in the SaaS model, including data flows, data residency, access, and tenant separation.
• Classification of encryption and customer-controlled keys (BYOK) as well as possible compensation measures.
• Preliminary security classification of selected alternative solutions.
• Documentation of risks and measures, and support for the client's decision paper.
• Practical experience in conducting IT security assessments.
• Good knowledge of cloud and SaaS security, especially Identity & Access Management and encryption.
• Knowledge of GDPR as well as ISO 27001 or comparable standards.
• Practical experience with the standard application under consideration, in on-premises or SaaS operation.
• Understanding of the application's architecture, interfaces, and authorization concepts.
• Knowledge in key management, especially BYOK and CMK concepts.
• Knowledge of ISO 27017, SOC 2 or TISAX as well as experience in information security risk management.
• Experience with assessments for migrating on-premises applications to SaaS models.
• Knowledge in IT Service Management and Business Continuity.
• Experience with ServiceNow integration.
