Project overview

For our customer, we are looking for a Security Consultant Platform Engineering (m/f/d)

Our customer, a public institution, is building and piloting a secure internal development platform for isolated zones. The focus is on standardized, reproducible work environments, self-service development and test environments, as well as robust test data management. Collaboration will be entirely location-independent during the period from 02.11.2026 to 31.12.2027.

Responsibilities

• Conception and independent implementation in the pilot of a secure internal development platform for isolated zones
• Building standardized, reproducible work and development environments, including offline-capable updates
• Provision of self-service development and test environments upon request
• Test data management: anonymization, synthetic data, separation of Dev/Test/Prod
• Securing developer workstations and source code access in isolated zones
• Requirements gathering, introduction support, and change management with development teams

Requirements

• 6 years of experience in Platform Engineering / Developer Experience with responsibility for development platforms
• 6 years of experience in building standardized, reproducible development environments, including offline-capable updates
• 6 years of experience with self-service development and test environments
• 6 years of experience in test data management (anonymization, synthetic data, separation of Dev/Test/Prod)
• 6 years of experience in securing developer workstations and source code access in isolated zones
• 6 years of experience with Dev Containers
• 6 years of experience with Backstage
• 6 years of experience with Argo CD
• 6 years of experience with Crossplane
• 6 years of experience with Terraform
• 6 years of experience with GitLab
• 6 years of experience with PostgreSQL Anonymizer, Datanymizer, and Faker
• 6 years of experience with Prometheus
• 6 years of experience with Grafana
• 6 years of experience in requirements gathering, introduction support, and change management with development teams
• Willingness for security clearance SÜ2
• German citizenship

Nice to have

Very good German language skills, both written and spoken, are required.
