Senior Administrator – Operation & Development of Infrastructure

Project overview

You will support the operation, maintenance, development, and optimization of an existing IT infrastructure DMZ with a focus on network, security, and application layer systems.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and processing of technical disruptions and service requests, including error analysis and troubleshooting.
• Performing maintenance measures and installing updates and security patches.
• Maintaining, adapting, and optimizing existing system configurations and rule sets.
• Planning and implementing changes and extensions to the existing IT infrastructure.
• Creating initial configurations and parameterizations of technical systems and their commissioning.
• Participating in the planning and implementation of network and infrastructure measures.
• Implementing changes, taking into account applicable security, architecture, and operational requirements.
• Creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation, work instructions, and operational documents.
• Collaborating with involved departments, operational teams, and other technical contacts within the scope of change and operational processes.
• Experience in planning and designing secure network and infrastructure architectures, as well as in implementing relevant IT security requirements.
• Sound knowledge of modern network technologies and protocols, as well as experience with secure network transitions and connecting different network areas.
• Knowledge of handling network and security components, especially in configuring and securing network connections.
• Ability to read, understand, and independently create network topologies and technical architecture concepts.
• Experience in planning, introducing, and operating IT system infrastructures, as well as in implementing infrastructure changes, extensions, and consolidations.
• Experience in creating and updating technical concepts, guidelines, work instructions, and operational documentation.
• Practical experience with application layer gateway, firewall, web security, or comparable security solutions from various manufacturers.
