Senior Advisor / Project Manager Digital Workplace

Project overview

Consulting and managing an international project to develop a secure Digital Workplace for China and other high-risk countries.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Taking over end-to-end project management on a functional and organizational level
• Advising on best practices for Digital Workplace, Security, and Governance in high-risk countries
• Determining technical, organizational, and regulatory requirements
• Structuring workstreams, decision-making processes, and dependencies
• Preparing and moderating central architecture, security, and governance decisions
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders from Workplace, Cyber Security, IAM, Networking, Compliance, Data Protection, and local IT units
• Developing a target vision for Secure Travel Devices, Endpoint and Device Management, IAM, DLP, Network Security, VDI/EVD architectures, and Application Governance
• Defining architecture principles, security controls, and governance requirements
• Developing end-to-end processes such as Pre-/Post-Travel, Credential Management, Incident Response, and Device Lifecycle Management
• Establishing a sustainable operating model with roles, responsibilities, and RACI structures
• Advising on regulatory and technical requirements in China, as well as data protection and cross-border data issues
• Many years of experience at a senior level in Digital Workplace, Cyber Security, and Enterprise IT
• Experience as a Senior Advisor, Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Program or Project Manager
• Demonstrable project experience in Mainland China
• Practical experience in building or transforming international workplace and security solutions
• Profound understanding of modern workplace, endpoint, and Zero Trust architectures
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Endpoint Security, IAM, Privileged Access Management, and DLP
• Knowledge of Network Security, Remote Access, and solutions like Zscaler
• Practical experience with VDI, EVD, or similar virtual desktop architectures
• Expertise in Security Monitoring, Incident Response, and Endpoint Remediation
• Experience in developing governance structures, operating models, and end-to-end processes
• Strong consulting and communication skills, as well as strong stakeholder management
• Structured, pragmatic, and independent way of working
• Fluent German and fluent English
