Senior Advisor Water and Sewerage (Interim)

The advisor supports a municipal team in the field of water and sewerage.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Advising on spatial plans, housing projects, and area developments related to water and sewerage
• Assessing permit applications concerning sewerage, rainwater, and groundwater
• Advising residents, initiators, developers, and consultancy firms during planning and permit procedures
• Drafting technical requirements and conditions for permit issuance
• Assessing whether designs align with municipal policy and applicable laws and regulations for urban water management
• Coordinating construction activities with existing wastewater, rainwater, and groundwater facilities
• Contributing to the further development of rainwater systems and climate adaptation measures
• Providing substantive contributions to guidelines for public spaces from the field of water and sewerage
• Handling notifications regarding public spaces related to water and sewerage
• Supporting other tasks within the field of water and sewerage
• HBO work and thinking level
• Education in Civil Engineering, Water Management, or a comparable field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an urban water advisor, sewer manager, or similar role within a municipality
• Proven experience in advising on projects related to area development and housing construction
• Substantive knowledge of urban water management, sewerage, rainwater, and groundwater
• Familiarity with the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet) and permit issuance
• Experience in reviewing spatial plans and technical designs
• Experience in collaboration within municipal project organizations
• Familiarity with municipal water and sewerage care obligations
• Experience in climate adaptation and water-resilient design of public spaces
• Experience in advising project leaders, managers, and permit officers
• Experience in functioning within a political-administrative context
