Job description
Seeking a Senior AI Framework Engineer for a 35-month project in Frankfurt, starting November 2026. The role involves designing and developing reusable framework components for agentic systems, with an 80% remote work option.
Responsibilities
Required Skills:
- Conceptualize, develop, and take responsibility for reusable framework components for agentic systems
- Design and document architecture, interfaces, schemas, and extension points (ADRs, arc42, C4)
- Build and further develop registries, plugin architectures, AI integrations, and release processes
- Design agents, orchestration, guardrails, and secure execution environments
- Ensure quality, security, observability, as well as costs and runtimes
- Participate in the Scrum team, drive architectural decisions, manage inner-source contributions, and transfer knowledge to user teams
- Several years of experience with frameworks, SDKs, developer tooling, or plugin systems, as well as broad frontend and backend knowledge
- Very good TypeScript skills, as well as experience with Python and portable shell scripts
- Profound knowledge in software architecture, schema and contract design, versioning, and architectural documentation
- Experience with security, interfaces, GitLab CI/CD, and Docker
- Scrum experience, as well as knowledge of Jira and backlog work
- Continuous practical use of AI development tools
- Profound knowledge of agents, orchestration, RAG, MCP, guardrails, and evaluation, as well as their limitations
- Experience in building agents, testing non-deterministic systems, and clearly communicating technical solutions
