Project overview

A federal agency provides its users with native smartphone apps for Android and iOS, which are used daily by many people in Germany. The apps are in production and are continuously expanded with new features and adapted to changing requirements. For the Android side, we are looking for reinforcement in a well-coordinated agile team.

• Creation and adaptation of software models and software component profiles
• Review, evaluation, and effort estimation of the requirements handed over
• Implementation of new and further development of existing app functions in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Connection of app functions to backend interfaces
• Planning and execution of component tests (manual and automated)
• Execution of code reviews and resolution of identified points
• Analysis and resolution of reported errors, including 3rd-level support
• Documentation of work results and knowledge transfer to persons named by the client
• Several years of experience in native Android development with Kotlin and Android Studio at a senior level
• Confident practice with Jetpack Compose
• REST interfaces and JSON
• Git and Bitbucket
• Experience in agile projects (Scrum)
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
• Experience with Retrofit
• Experience with Dependency Injection (Dagger2 or Koin)
• Experience with State Machines
• Experience in iOS development
• Experience in the public sector
