Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer - Python | Linux | SQL | DevOps | Banking (m/f/d) to support and further develop business-critical applications in the area of risk and bank management.

We are looking for employees subject to social security contributions.

Responsibilities

• Operation, maintenance, and further development of a business-critical application in the banking environment
• Development and adaptation of Python-based components and automations
• Execution of software releases, deployments, and rollouts
• Analysis and resolution of incidents as well as sustainable error analysis within the scope of problem management
• Execution of tests and quality assurance measures
• Monitoring and optimization of application operations
• Analysis and optimization of database processes and SQL queries
• Participation in change and release management
• Collaboration with business departments, development teams, and infrastructure units

Requirements

• Several years of experience in application management, application support, or DevOps environment
• Good to very good knowledge of Python
• Experience in the development, maintenance, or support of Python applications
• Sound SQL knowledge
• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Exasol
• Very good Linux/Unix knowledge
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD processes
• Knowledge of incident, problem, and release management
• Experience with Git
• Very good German language skills

Desired Profile

We are not looking for a pure software developer or a classic operations administrator. We are looking for a technically strong Application Management Engineer who manages productive applications, analyzes errors, supports releases, and can simultaneously take on development tasks in the Python environment.

Ideally, the candidate has experience with business-critical applications, databases, Linux systems, and modern deployment and automation processes.

• Experience with Docker and container technologies
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow
• Java or Spring Boot knowledge
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector
• Knowledge in the area of risk, reporting, or overall bank management
• Experience in the environment of regulatory applications
