Senior Avaloq Engineer - Securities Processing 50%

Project overview

Our client develops and operates the Avaloq Core Banking Platform in the area of investments & pensions using the DevOps approach. As part of a large Agile Release Train (ART), the team works according to SAFe and SCRUM on strategic initiatives and the continuous further development of the application landscape.

To strengthen the team, we are looking for an experienced Avaloq specialist who will contribute their expertise in parameterizing and further developing the platform.

Responsibilities

• Independent implementation of requirements from the business unit on the given technology stack (Java Spring Backend, Angular)
• Parameterization and further development of the Avaloq Banking Platform, especially of portfolio management functions and master data extensions
• Implementation of strategic initiatives, including the connection of a new Order Management System
• Optimization of securities processing to increase the STP rate, reduce risks, and improve data and process quality
• Design and development of event streaming interfaces to surrounding systems
• Support and further development of Java-based software components
• Support of ongoing operations as well as analysis and resolution of disruptions
• Active participation in an agile DevOps team according to SAFe and SCRUM

Requirements

General framework conditions:

• Sound knowledge of Avaloq implementation in the Swiss banking environment
• At least 10 years of experience in Avaloq parameterization
• Experience with portfolio management functions, master data, and securities processing
• Knowledge of Java and interface integration, ideally in the area of event streaming
• Experience with agile development methods such as SAFe and SCRUM
• Willingness to take responsibility for operational tasks in the DevOps model
• Strong analytical skills, quick comprehension, and a structured, independent way of working
• Open, communicative personality with a strong team spirit
• Interest in topics related to investments & pensions
• Workload: 50%
• Assignment: from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027
• Work location: onsite at the client's in Zurich
• Good German and English skills mandatory
