Senior Avaloq / Java DevOps Engineer

Project overview

For a leading financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq / Java DevOps Engineer in the area of investments & pensions. In this role, you will support the further development of a modern core banking platform and participate in strategic projects.

Your tasks include the parameterization of portfolio management functions and the extension of master data within the banking platform. You will design and develop event streaming interfaces to other software systems and support Java-based software components. Another focus is on refactoring existing functions and interfaces in the area of investment recommendations and connecting to a new, Kafka-based event streaming platform. Furthermore, you will support ongoing operations and analyze and resolve disruptions.

The team works according to the DevOps approach with SAFe and Scrum, meaning you will be working in a modern, agile environment.

We expect at least five years of experience in Avaloq parameterization and several years of experience in Java development. You should be familiar with agile development methods and willing to take on operational tasks in the spirit of the DevOps approach. An interest in topics related to investments and pensions is an advantage. Quick comprehension, strong analytical thinking, and an open and communicative personality are important. Very good German skills (C2) and good English skills (C1) are required.

The position is designed for 12 months+ and begins on the specified start date. It is a full-time position (100%) at an established financial location.
