Senior Back-End Developer TypeScript / Node.js

Project overview

Within an organization in the banking sector, we are looking for a senior back-end developer to drive technical choices for a team responsible for critical services (APIs and BFFs for mobile applications). The role is cross-functional, without hierarchical management, with a strong dimension of influence and pedagogy.

Mission Description

Profile Sought

• Design and develop APIs and BFFs in TypeScript/Node.js, using hexagonal architecture, deployed on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS)
• Define and enforce best practices: strict typing, tests (unit, contract), CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code
• Ensure the resilience and security of services: error management, degraded modes, data protection
• Formalize architectural decisions (ADR) and contribute to technical governance
• Frame supervision and observability (Datadog, ideally Instana) in line with SLAs/SLOs
• Challenge and arbitrate with stakeholders (PO, UX/UI, business, IT teams) and explain technical issues
• Conduct code reviews, mentoring, and support for developers
• Minimum 8 years of back-end experience, including proven experience as a technical referent, tech lead, or architect
• Solid mastery of TypeScript/Node.js, hexagonal architecture, and the BFF pattern
• Good practice of AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS) and an IaC tool
• Quality culture: tests, CI/CD, observability (Datadog, Instana appreciated)
• Assertive posture, sense of pedagogy and negotiation
• Masterful use of AI in development
