Job description
A large railway company is automating passenger warnings at platforms. The project involves developing a new, safety-relevant, event-driven system using Java and Spring Boot, with development following CENELEC standards.
Project overview
A large railway company is automating the warning of passengers on platforms about passing and arriving trains. Currently, this is done by people via announcements. The new system automatically detects from timetable, train route, and location data when a warning needs to be issued at an operating site and triggers the announcement in time. The project starts from scratch, architecture and code are being created anew. The system is safety-relevant and will be developed according to CENELEC (EN 50126 / EN 50716), from requirements through verification and validation to configuration management.
Work is carried out in a self-organized agile team distributed across Germany.
