Senior Business Analyst / Business Engineer – Occupational Pensions /80-100%/ ZH

Project Focus: For a strategic project in the field of occupational pensions, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Business Engineer. The focus is on replacing an existing application for simulating pension offers, which is operated on an outdated platform. At the same time, the current consulting and business processes are to be analyzed and redesigned for the future IT solution. The focus is initially on the functional preparation for the later IT implementation.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of existing AS-IS processes related to consulting corporate clients in occupational pensions
• Analysis of processes from needs assessment and tendering through review to optimization
• Identification of manual work steps, media breaks, redundancies, and data inconsistencies
• Analysis of interfaces to customer and master data systems, pension administration, document management, and external data sources
• Development and documentation of an efficient TO-BE process for the future application
• Development of proposals for automation, process optimization, and improvement of data integrity
• Conducting workshops and interviews with specialist departments, product managers, IT, and other stakeholders
• Creation of process models, interface overviews, and functional requirements
• Translation of functional requirements into features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Description of data flows and interface requirements as a basis for technical implementation
• Support for IT in transferring functional requirements into technical specifications
• Participation in prioritization, backlog, and roadmap within the scope of project ramp-up
• Development of solution proposals and decision-making bases for management

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Engineer at a financial service provider or insurance company
• Sound experience in end-to-end process analysis and process optimization
• Experience in modeling AS-IS and TO-BE processes
• Very good knowledge of methods such as BPMN, Use Cases, User Stories, and process modeling
• Experience with complex data flows, interfaces, and system landscapes
• Ideally, experience in the field of occupational pensions / BVG for corporate clients
• Knowledge of BVG, KTG, UVG, and UVGZ topics is an advantage
• Experience in agile project environments, such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
• Confident in collaborating with specialist departments, IT, architecture, and other stakeholders
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Ability to structure, question, and translate complex functional processes into actionable requirements
• German: Fluent C2
