Senior Business Analyst IVU.rail / Railway Production

Description

For a long-term implementation project at a railway company, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with in-depth experience in railway production and operations processes.

The focus is on the introduction of IVU.rail. We are not looking for someone technically focused on customization, but a Business Analyst who understands the requirements of the business unit and can structure and translate them into the business and system language of the IVU specialists.

• Elicit, analyze, structure, and document business requirements from the areas of railway production and operations.
• Translate business requirements into precise functional specifications for the IVU specialists.
• Independently manage defined features from requirements elicitation to functional acceptance.
• Develop and evaluate solution options and prepare them as a basis for decision-making.
• Coordinate the functional configuration and implementation in IVU.rail.
• Coordinate between business units, project teams, and suppliers.
• Coordinate the collaboration between planning, resource allocation, dispatching, integration, testing, training, and process and organizational management.
• Identify and track risks, dependencies, blockers, and decision-making needs early on.
• Support functional testing, acceptance, and rollout activities.
• Ensure comprehensible documentation and structured knowledge transfer.
• Build a reliable functional and organizational fallback level within the project.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in complex transformation or implementation projects.
• In-depth knowledge of railway production and operational railway processes.
• Experience with planning, resource management, allocation, or dispatching systems.
• Very good understanding of the interrelationships between planning, resource utilization, and operational dispatching.
• Ability to independently handle complex business requirements end-to-end.
• Experience in collaborating with business units, IT teams, and software suppliers.
• Very good skills in analysis, moderation, stakeholder management, and decision preparation.
• Structured, independent, and documentation-oriented way of working.
• Ability to systematically build up expertise and pass it on within the project organization.
• Experience in functional leadership, team coordination, or deputizing is an advantage.
• Practical experience with IVU.rail from IVU Traffic Technologies.
• Alternatively, experience with comparable railway production, planning, or dispatching solutions.
