Senior Business Analyst

Project overview

For a Bank, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Freelance) to support a regulatory AI governance programme focused on the implementation of the EU AI Act.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for translating regulatory requirements into business and operational requirements while working closely with stakeholders across Business, Risk, Compliance, and IT.

A key part of the role will be reviewing the EU AI Act, analysing its impact on the bank's existing processes, identifying gaps and optimisation opportunities, and defining requirements for implementation. The consultant should have strong experience in requirements engineering/requirements management and ideally previous exposure to AI-related regulatory initiatives.

• Analyse and interpret EU AI Act requirements
• Assess how regulatory obligations impact existing banking processes
• Perform gap analyses and identify areas requiring remediation
• Create and manage business requirements and functional requirements
• Coordinate with Business, Compliance, Risk, Legal and IT stakeholders
• Support the implementation of controls and governance measures for High-Risk AI Systems
• Drive workshops and requirement discussions with senior stakeholders
• Strong Business Analyst background
• Proven experience in Requirements Engineering / Requirements Management
• Experience in EU regulatory programmes
• Ability to translate regulatory texts into business requirements
• Experience working with senior stakeholders
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude
• Fluent English
• Previous experience with the EU AI Act
• Experience assessing regulatory requirements and translating them into implementation plans
• Understanding of AI concepts, AI governance, and AI risk management
