Senior Business Analyst – SAFe / Requirements Engineering / Product Owner | Switzerland

Project overview

For a long-term project with a client in the public sector in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with in-depth expertise in Requirements Engineering, who will also take on partial Product Owner tasks according to SAFe.

As part of a long-term digitalization project, you will support the stable operation and continuous development of an existing case management system.

In addition to the functional support and optimization of the existing application, you will accompany a strategic digitalization initiative for the planned replacement of the old system.

The role combines classic Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering with partial Product Owner responsibility within an agile SAFe environment.

Responsibilities

• Recording, analysis, specification, and documentation of functional and technical requirements
• Analysis, modeling, and optimization of existing business processes
• Creation, maintenance, and prioritization of user stories, epics, and product backlogs
• Taking on partial Product Owner tasks according to SAFe
• Coordination of functional requirements with stakeholders, business departments, and development teams
• Planning, execution, and support of tests and functional acceptances
• Analysis and support in resolving complex incidents during ongoing operations
• Ensuring the continuous development and optimization of existing applications
• Functional support of a digitalization project to replace a legacy system

Requirements

• Several years of project experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Requirements Engineer
• In-depth knowledge of Requirements Engineering and functional requirements analysis
• Experience in business process modeling, ideally BPMN 2.0 and UML
• Experience with agile methodologies, especially SAFe
• Practical experience in Product Ownership or backlog management
• Experience in creating and prioritizing user stories
• Experience in test management and functional acceptances
• Very good German language skills

Nice to have

• Experience in projects within public administration or in the e-government sector
• Experience with case management or case processing systems
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• Experience in application management and incident management
• Experience in modernizing or replacing existing IT systems
• Project experience in the Swiss federal administration
• IREB or SAFe certifications
