Support in the project as Senior Change Manager / Transformation Lead – SAP EAM (m/f/d)

Our client, a medium-sized industrial company from the chemical/pharmaceutical sector, is replacing its existing legacy system for technical maintenance (COMOS) with SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). SAP ERP has been in use since 2025, and Phase 1 of the EAM implementation is complete. The focus now is on mapping technical maintenance end-to-end in SAP and successfully bringing the project to completion.

The project is at a turning point: a decision must be made shortly whether to continue on the current path or to realign. This is precisely why we are looking for an experienced personality who can create clarity, prepare decisions, and bring the organization along.

Task Description:

• Quick, honest assessment of the situation: Are the maintenance processes defined and known? Are the goals and timeline realistic?
• Preparation of the decision "Continuation or Turnaround" together with management and project leadership
• Establishment or refinement of viable project governance
• Achieving Business Readiness: Aligning technical maintenance processes and SAP EAM, anchoring digital processing in the business unit
• Advancing change management and acceptance work with users and managers
• Sparring partner and stability anchor for a young, dedicated internal project leadership – in close cooperation with the implementation partner
• Moderation in areas of tension between the business unit, IT, and external partners

Requirements

• German spoken and written (minimum level C1)
• English spoken and written
• Communicative, creative, and a team player mentality are prerequisites
• Several years of experience as a Change Manager, Transformation Lead in SAP implementations, ideally SAP EAM / PM
• Sound understanding of maintenance processes in the process industry
• Industry experience in chemicals and/or pharmaceuticals
• Experience in project situations under time pressure, preferably also turnaround or recovery projects
• Confidence and composure in conflict-ridden situations, clear communication at all levels
• Hands-on mentality: You don't just create slides, you drive things forward on-site

Project details

Remote/on-site components are always agreed upon with the end client.

Willingness to work on-site in the project is a prerequisite.
