Senior Cyber Security & CVE Analyst

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cyber Security & CVE Analyst (m/f/d) for an exciting 8-month project in the field of vulnerability management and cybersecurity. The position is 100% remote and offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and assessment of IT security vulnerabilities based on CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures)
• Technical assessment of vulnerabilities regarding exploitability, attack vectors, and relevance for industrial Linux-based systems
• Identification of affected Linux components, especially kernel functionalities, drivers, and system-level modules
• Deconstruction of complex CVE entries into individual, technically assessable vulnerabilities
• Interpretation of security descriptions to derive technical problems
• Creation of concise technical summaries for internal teams
• Support in the further development of tools for automated filtering and prioritization of vulnerability data
• Assessment of security vulnerabilities in the context of regulatory requirements (Cyber Resilience Act, IEC 62443)
• Close collaboration with cybersecurity experts, software developers, and system architects

Requirements

• Completed degree in computer science, IT security, or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in vulnerability management and IT security vulnerability analysis
• Sound Linux knowledge (kernel, drivers, system architecture)
• Experience with CVEs and vulnerability databases (NVD)
• Structured and analytical way of working

Project details

40 hours per week, starting immediately, with an option for extension.
