We're working with a leading digital consultancy delivering critical services into a major UK public sector organisation and are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join an innovative AI-focused team.

This role is well suited to an engineer with a strong background in Back End systems, data platforms and cloud infrastructure, who can also bring expertise in automated testing and quality assurance. You'll play a key role in helping mature and productionise AI-enabled services used at scale.

Essential Requirements

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile public sector programme focused on the development and scaling of AI-enabled services, while working remotely as part of an experienced digital delivery team.

• Building and improving Back End data and platform infrastructure
• Supporting the delivery of AI-powered digital services
• Implementing automated testing and QA best practices
• Improving reliability, performance and scalability across systems
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment
• Helping ensure services are secure, robust and production-ready
• Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer or Backend Engineer
• Experience working with cloud-native platforms and modern engineering practices
• Proven track record implementing automated testing and quality assurance processes
• Strong understanding of CI/CD and software engineering best practice
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Previous UK Public Sector experience
• BPSS cleared
• UK-based
• Available to start at short notice
