English proficiency at C1 level or above required

• Commercial experience as a Senior Data Engineer, building and maintaining data pipelines in production. (6+)
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources, including NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB) and cloud warehouses (e.g. Redshift).
• Good understanding of building resilient pipelines – incremental loads, change data capture (CDC), handling deletes and reloads.
• Experience with data quality practices: automated testing, data reconciliation, monitoring and alerting.
• Practical experience with CI/CD (ideally GitLab) and Git-based workflows, including code reviews.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, preferably Claude Code (must-have):

Nice to have

• Experience with Estuary or similar data ingestion/CDC tools (e.g. Fivetran, Airbyte, Debezium).
• Experience with dbt or other transformation frameworks

We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our client's data team! Our client is a software provider for the automotive industry, helping car dealerships digitise the customer experience – from sales to aftersales.

• Connect a range of client databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift and more) and load their data into Snowflake using Estuary and Snowflake’s own tools.
• Build data transformations in Snowflake in line with the architecture defined by the Data Architect.
• Create reliable, fault-tolerant pipelines that handle deletes, reloads and historical data corrections.
• Ensure data quality through automated testing, source-to-target reconciliation, monitoring and alerting.
• Work in a fully automated GitLab CI/CD setup – version control, merge request reviews, automated testing and deployments.
