An established provider in the healthcare sector is looking for an experienced Delphi Developer for the further development of business-critical software in the eHealth environment. The role combines legacy modernization, secure integration with modern services, and the targeted use of AI in software engineering.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in professional Delphi development, ideally with business-critical legacy applications
• Sound knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with integration patterns and the modernization of established codebases
• Confident use of build, deployment, and version control tools
• Effective use of AI in software engineering, especially for code analysis, refactoring, or documentation
• Completed technical university degree, preferably at Master's level
• Fluent German and English, as well as an independent, pragmatic way of working

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET, Express.js, or MSVC components
• Knowledge of AI pipelines, context engineering, and agentic coding workflows, for example with Claude Code
• Experience with software for medication or prescription processes

• Further develop and reliably operate a long-standing Delphi application for medication and prescription processes
• Design and implement changes that measurably improve performance, stability, and data quality
• Analyze, refactor, and make existing Delphi code sustainably maintainable
• Connect Delphi components with modern services and data services, including interaction with .NET, Express.js, and MSVC components
• Maintain and further develop interfaces to drug databases and established standards for medication plans
• Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and AI teams and create sustainable integration paths
• Use AI agents for analysis, refactoring, and documentation and feed insights back to the team in a structured manner
• Actively shape the modernization roadmap and combine reliable delivery with gradual further development
