Senior DevOps Engineer eBanking (Java, Angular, Kubernetes)

Project overview

For an agile DevOps team in the Swiss financial sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to manage and further develop five business-critical eBanking applications.

The team works according to SAFe and Scrum with modern development methods such as Pair and Mob Programming, as well as Test Driven Development. The architecture is based on microservices, Domain Driven Design, resilience, security, and observability.

This role requires a specialist for the architecture of publicly accessible services – not just a pure developer profile. We are looking for someone with proven experience in the conception and implementation of internet-exposed services, who is familiar with attack surfaces, session handling, load peaks, and security hardening. Ideally, you have already been responsible for customer portals or eBanking frontends.

Your tasks include the management and further development of mission-critical applications, the conception and implementation of banking-specific requirements, responsibility for the software architecture, and ongoing optimizations in the interplay of development, testing, operations, and monitoring. You will contribute new technical and methodological impulses and ensure operation and availability in the DevOps model.

Very good knowledge of Java and Angular development with Spring, JPA, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Kotlin, as well as extensive experience with Kubernetes, are required. A commitment to the two-year mandate is a prerequisite.

The engagement starts in Zurich with a 100% workload.
