Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer.

Responsibilities

· Lead and coordinate electrical design work within product development projects.

· Select, dimension, and specify main and auxiliary circuit components for electrical cabinets.

· Design prototype test cabinets and specify type testing requirements, including environmental and dielectric verification.

· Contribute to concept-level electrical architecture and technical decision-making.

Requirements

· Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.).

· Previous experience in lead or senior electrical design roles.

· Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, component dimensioning, and relevant standards.

· Experience with electrical engineering design tools.

· Ability to manage both detailed design tasks and the overall technical picture.

Nice to have

· Hands-on experience with type testing procedures and documentation.

· Experience with electrical wiring and harness design.

· EPLAN product family experience is beneficial but not required (2D/3D).

Start date: 1 December 2026, or by the beginning of January 2027 at the latest

Project details

12 months, with the possibility of multi-year collaboration

Helsinki, preferably at least two days per week on-site (negotiable)

Allocation: 100%

Language: Fluent English; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage
