Job description
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will take full responsibility for critical hardware projects, from architecture development to PCB layout and commissioning.
Project overview
As a Senior Electronics Engineer on a freelance basis, you will drive important hardware projects with a high degree of personal responsibility:
You will take full responsibility for critical electronics work packages – from the initial architecture development, schematic creation, and complex mixed-signal PCB layout (Altium) to monitoring manufacturing and commissioning the printed circuit boards.
You will perform practical commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing of flight hardware, as well as system-level integration and ground support equipment.
You will take a leading technical role in design reviews, architectural decisions, and risk assessments for satellite payloads and avionics systems.
You will work closely with the internal avionics team and coordinate with external manufacturing partners.
You will work on-site at our office or laboratory in Munich.
Requirements
At least 5 years of demonstrable professional experience in the development of electronic hardware; experience with high-reliability hardware is an advantage.
Sound knowledge of schematic creation and (mixed-signal) PCB layout (Altium Designer or comparable software).
A high degree of independent risk management as well as transparent and clear technical communication.
Fluent English skills (C1 or higher).
