Senior Flight Control / Aircraft Systems Engineer

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Flight Control / Aircraft Systems Engineer (m/f/d) to support an innovative development project in the aviation sector.

The focus of the position is on system architecture as well as the integration, development, and testing of flight control systems.

We are looking for a technically adept Systems Engineer who does not exclusively work at the component level but understands the interrelationships between different aircraft systems and can integrate them into an overall aircraft system.

Candidates who have already worked on new aircraft concepts, eVTOL projects, or comparable innovative aviation programs are of particular interest.

Responsibilities

• Development and further development of flight control systems and their system architecture
• Analysis and definition of system interrelationships and interfaces
• Support in the system integration of various hardware and software components
• Accompanying development, integration, and testing activities
• Analysis and evaluation of system requirements and technical interfaces
• Support in the verification and validation of the developed systems
• Collaboration with adjacent specialist areas such as avionics, flight dynamics, software, hardware, and systems engineering
• Technical analysis and fault assessment during integration and testing
• Support in the further development and optimization of the overall system
• Documentation and tracking of technical results and requirements

Requirements

• Completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• Several years of professional experience in aviation development
• Experience in the field of Flight Control Systems, Aircraft Systems, Avionics, or Systems Engineering
• Experience with system integration as well as development and testing activities
• Good understanding of system architectures and technical interfaces
• Ability to analyze and structure complex technical interrelationships at the system level
• Very good German and/or English language skills
