Project overview

For upcoming modernization projects with mid-sized companies in the DACH region, we are looking for experienced Flutter Developers (m/f/d) to join our expert pool. The work is 100% remote, and we welcome applications from anywhere in the world.

A typical project looks like this:

Starting point

An established business application is being modernized and migrated to Google Cloud. Part of it is a mobile app for iOS and Android built in Flutter, which is either developed from scratch or fundamentally reworked, and which connects to existing backend services via REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements with business stakeholders and the product owner and turn them into user stories with acceptance criteria
• Develop options for app architecture and state management and align them with architects and decision-making bodies
• Deliver features end to end: user interface, business logic, API integration, offline capability
• Integrate backend and database services, e.g. authentication, push notifications and Cloud Firestore
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, widget and integration tests)
• Help set up CI/CD for builds and releases to the App Store and Google Play
• Prepare and support user acceptance testing, analyze and fix defects
• Carry out code reviews and document the solution

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional mobile development experience, including at least 3 years with Flutter and Dart in production apps
• Own apps published in the App Store and Google Play
• Hands-on experience with an established state management approach (e.g. Bloc, Riverpod or Provider)
• REST API integration and automated testing
• Fluent English
• At least 4 hours of daily overlap with Central European Time (CET)
