In the environment of a federal office in the justice sector, IT systems support case workers in their processes. These specialized applications are custom developments by an IT service center of the federal administration and are continuously kept up-to-date both technically and functionally. Several agile development teams are responsible for the maintenance, further development, and replacement of the systems under the leadership of the Product Owners.

The project "Electronic Certificate Register" will create the basis for the original public documents to be created electronically in the future, in accordance with the Federal Act on Digitization in Notarial Affairs (DNG). The documents are to be stored permanently in a tamper-proof, readable, and protected manner against unauthorized access. A new application will be implemented for this purpose according to the latest architectural guidelines.

For the migration and development, we are looking for an experienced fullstack developer who will be methodically integrated into the team. The agile key roles (PO, SM) are provided by the client.

Job Requirements

• Fullstack development of the new application with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Java, and Kotlin in the backend
• Frontend development with Angular (18 and higher), HTML5, and CSS3, including UI design
• Conception and implementation of interfaces with REST and SOAP
• Database development with PostgreSQL and Oracle
• Test automation with Cypress and Playwright
• Participation in the migration of existing systems and data
• Delivery within the agile team and, if necessary, 3rd-level support within office hours

Requirements

Framework Conditions

• (must-have) Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics (HF, HFP, FH/Uni BSc/MSc/MAS/NDS); for foreign degrees, proof of equivalence
• (must-have) Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Software Engineer (JSE/JEE or JSE/Spring), with at least 3 years in projects using Spring as a backend technology.
• Several years of experience in implementing Spring Boot and Angular applications in agile projects
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework, Java and Kotlin, REST/SOAP, Angular 18+, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with testing frameworks (Cypress/Playwright), UI design, and with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
• (must-have) German at least at C1 level
• (must-have) Willingness to undergo a debt enforcement register extract, criminal record extract, and personnel security check
