Senior Functional Tester & Automation QA

Project overview

Context

As part of a strategic project within the IT department of a major player in the retail sector, we are looking for a Functional & Automation QA Tester to strengthen a project team under the responsibility of the QA Lead.

You will work in a technical environment focused on Java APIs and software packages, with a central role in defining, designing, and executing functional and automated testing strategies.

Your objective will be to contribute to the overall quality of the applications, in close collaboration with developers, project teams, and business stakeholders.

Working Conditions

• Participating in the analysis and review of incoming requests.
• Designing, writing, and reviewing functional test scenarios.
• Performing manual test campaigns on applications and web interfaces.
• Designing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Participating in the automation of Back-end tests on Java APIs.
• Developing and executing Front-end automated tests with Cypress or Playwright.
• Collaborating with developers to improve test coverage and quality.
• Monitoring the execution of automated tests in continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
• Participating in test campaigns around software packages.
• Identifying, qualifying, and tracking defects until their resolution.
• Reporting on test campaigns and contributing to incident analysis.
• Being proactive in evolving testing practices, tools, and strategy.
