Senior Golang / Full Stack Platform Engineer

Description

For a challenging platform environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Golang / Full Stack Platform Engineer to develop modern cloud-native services, enhance existing platforms, and take responsibility for stable operations.

• Development, maintenance, and enhancement of Golang-based backend services
• Development of services for orchestrating various Kubernetes distributions
• Design and implementation of REST APIs and GraphQL interfaces
• Integration of various internal and external systems
• Development and enhancement of frontend components with React and Material UI
• Implementation of workflow automations and orchestration logic with Temporal
• Building, maintaining, and optimizing modern CI/CD pipelines
• Working with GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Implementation and enhancement of monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud operations
• Working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Development and integration of event-based architectures with Kafka
• Automation of provisioning, deployment, and configuration with Ansible, Helm, and Kustomize
• Operation and continuous optimization of business-critical platforms according to the DevOps principle "You build it, you run it"
• Analysis of technical problems and sustainable improvement of existing systems and codebases

Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in computer science, e.g., university, university of applied sciences, higher vocational school, or federal VET diploma, or a comparable further education
• Several years of professional experience in professional software development
• Very good practical experience in development with Golang
• Experience in the cloud-native environment
• Ideally, experience with Echo, Kubebuilder, sqlc, and Temporal
• Experience in frontend development with React and Material UI
• Profound knowledge of modern CI/CD and DevOps processes
• Very good knowledge of Git, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience with event streaming or messaging via Kafka
• Good knowledge in the design and implementation of REST APIs and GraphQL
• Experience with authentication and authorization concepts, especially OpenID Connect
• Experience with Ansible, Helm, and Kustomize
• Very good understanding of distributed systems and modern platform architectures
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with existing systems and complex codebases
• Independent, pragmatic, and solution-oriented way of working
• Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems
• Teamwork skills and willingness for active knowledge exchange
• German at least B2
• English at least B2
