Job description
As an IAM administrator, you will manage and further develop the Identity & Access Management services, ensuring stability, availability, and quality. You will also focus on process optimization, automation, and preparing the IAM chain for future innovations.
Project overview
Assignment Description
As an IAM administrator, you are responsible for managing and further developing the Identity & Access Management services. You ensure the stability, availability, quality, and continuity of the IAM chain and ensure that it is not only robust in management but also prepared for renewal and further automation.
From your experience with implementing, configuring, and managing complex ICT environments, you know how important a solid foundation is for sustainably implementing future-oriented improvements. In addition to operationally maintaining the chain, you are constantly looking for opportunities to design processes smarter and more efficiently. Your knowledge of Identity Governance, Identity Management, and Role Based Access Management enables you to critically analyze and optimize access processes.
You have extensive experience with IAM applications such as SailPoint (preferred), IBM Security Verify Directory Manager, and One Identity, and are familiar with underlying technologies such as Active Directory, ACLs, LDAP products, (My)SQL databases, and scripting in PowerShell. You also work effortlessly within Linux and Windows Server environments and with web servers such as Apache Tomcat and Microsoft IIS.
In this role, you carefully assess and interpret requests, gather additional information on findings, and record agreements with clients and users. You perform installations, patch and upgrade activities, and conduct daily checks on the chain. You monitor the handling of management tasks and ensure they are correctly accounted for and closed.
Thanks to your analytical skills, you can understand complex technical problems and translate them into workable solutions that fit within the applicable security standards, such as ISO27001, BIO, and D-300. You work with very complex systems and situations, where you identify, analyze, and adequately handle deviations in dynamic management environments.
You are accustomed to working project-based and carrying out or managing management projects independently. With knowledge of Agile, you monitor progress, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality or security.
During your work, you adopt an entrepreneurial and proactive attitude. You perform in-depth analyses to identify the root cause of problems and quickly switch between systems, processes, and environments to get a complete picture. You think ahead and translate the future vision of the IAM chain into concrete improvements in the current setup.
For innovations, you create test plans, review technical and functional tests, and execute them within OTAP environments, so that changes are brought to production in a controlled and secure manner.
With your experience in complex projects, you know how to effectively connect multiple stakeholders and bring disciplines together. You identify risks and bottlenecks in a timely manner, realistically estimate the required expertise and resources, and ensure they are available at the right time.
Through your strong communication skills and your ability to delve into content, you are a fully-fledged discussion partner for both technical specialists and functional stakeholders.
Finally, you are socially driven and coach first-line and fellow administrators. You actively share your knowledge, stimulate development within the team, and take ownership of issues.
The ideal candidate is curious, analytically strong, and intrinsically motivated to further specialize in the IAM field. You independently take on projects, research necessary documentation and information, bring the right people together, and work with enthusiasm and conviction towards secure, future-proof, and high-quality IAM solutions.
