Senior IT Architect - Geo Redundancy & IT Resilience

For our client in Nuremberg, we are currently looking for a Senior IT Architect – Geo Redundancy & IT Resilience.

Responsibilities

Determination of the required hardware and server capacity for resilient structures and geo-redundant data centers, taking into account the respective IT systems and redundancy modes

Development of playbooks to enable IT systems and processes for resilient and geo-redundant operation

Review of existing tools regarding their suitability for enabling IT systems and identification of possible gaps

• Support and assistance for the Lead Enterprise Architect
• Development of a uniform, robust, and traceable survey and evaluation methodology for the systematic assessment of all affected IT systems
• Creation and maintenance of a complete, current, and verified system inventory as data basis for the analysis of approx. 200 IT systems including platforms
• Coordination with the responsible persons of the affected IT systems to ensure robust and confirmed information for solution designs and cost considerations
• Analysis of the redundancy capability and the technical adaptation needs for each IT system with regard to resilient, geo-redundant operation as well as estimation of the implementation effort
• Development and justification of suitable redundancy modes for individual IT systems to meet the requirements for resilient and geo-redundant operating structures
• Coordination and assistance in cost estimation for necessary adjustments to existing IT systems to establish resilient and geo-redundant operation
• Support in the creation of technical solution designs (TLE) as well as preparation and handover of the required documentation to the Lead Enterprise Architect
• Development and creation of enablement scenarios for resilient structures and geo-redundancy
• Analysis and determination of technical dependencies during the migration of IT systems as well as consideration of these dependencies in the relocation planning
• Support in the management and coordination of large project groups
• Content-related support for the PDP management and the Lead Enterprise Architect as well as review of PDP deliverables
