Senior IT Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Engineer to strengthen our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing the highest level of technical support, managing our enterprise IT infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems.

Your tasks include diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, network, and system problems, managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, and supporting the planning and execution of IT projects such as system upgrades and software deployments. You will evaluate new technologies as part of proof-of-concept initiatives and work closely with various teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Further responsibilities include implementing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and monitoring IT systems and security controls. You will support IT service management platforms, unified communications solutions, and network infrastructure components. Where necessary, you will mentor junior members of the IT team.

We expect a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science, or a related field, as well as at least 5-8 years of experience in end-user support and enterprise IT environments. Profound knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, network and virtualization technologies, as well as experience with enterprise security solutions, is required. Knowledge of ITIL best practices is desirable. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, or CCNA are advantageous.
