(Senior) IT Project Manager

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager for the holistic responsibility of the conception, coordination, and successful realization of demanding technical projects. You will lead complex, cross-functional IT development projects, taking into account deadlines, budget, quality, and capacity requirements.

Your tasks include planning and coordinating project capacities, milestones, and quality checkpoints using established project management approaches (classic, hybrid, or agile). You will be responsible for financial project management, including budgeting, cost monitoring, and risk assessment. Furthermore, you will proactively manage relevant stakeholders and decision-making bodies, as well as contract and claims management.

We expect a completed technical degree and at least 3 years of professional experience in managing complex IT projects. Very good German language skills (C1) are required, along with extensive experience in project controlling and sound knowledge of IT security, cryptography, and public-key infrastructure. You should be familiar with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and have experience dealing with clients or service providers in the public sector.

Knowledge of agile and hybrid methods (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and experience with highly regulated IT projects are essential. Very good skills in risk and project management, as well as structured documentation and regular status reports, complete your profile.

The workplace is located in Berlin and will be designed as hybrid.
