Senior Java Analyst Developer / Technical Lead

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Analyst Developer / Technical Lead for an established company in a regulated environment. This role combines practical Java development with technical leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity for both technical and strategic growth.

Responsibilities

You will design the technical architecture of Java applications and develop robust, scalable backend solutions. You will make technical decisions, conduct code reviews, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure high code quality standards. As a mentor, you will support Java developers and share your technical knowledge. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders, and deliver new applications and improvements within the agreed scope.

You will maintain and optimize existing applications, perform root cause analyses, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and technologies.

Requirements

You have an IT degree or equivalent professional experience with at least 5 years of relevant senior-level experience. Strong expertise in Java 7/8/11/17, Spring, JEE, RESTful Web Services, SOAP, and multithreading is required. Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git, Jira, application servers like GlassFish and WildFly, and databases like Microsoft SQL Server is assumed. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, ReactJS, Linux/Unix, and cloud platforms is an advantage. A solid understanding of secure development (OWASP, OAuth, JWT, Spring Security) is necessary.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, experience in Agile/Scrum environments, and fluency in English and Dutch or French are required.
