Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer / DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Development, further development, and support of Java-based applications and integration solutions within a service-oriented IT architecture
• Analysis and resolution of technical errors as well as continuous optimization of existing systems
• Ensuring software quality and performance through code reviews, tests, and established best practices
• Implementation and consideration of security and compliance requirements from the financial services sector
• Ensuring defined quality standards throughout the entire development process
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for applications, interfaces, and processes
• Further development and optimization of existing development processes and methods
• Close collaboration and technical coordination with developers, architects, and other project participants
• Introduction of new technologies and solution approaches for the continuous further development of the system landscape
• Active participation in an agile project environment according to Scrum and DevOps principles

• Over 10 years of practical experience in Java development as well as with frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• Experience with Quartz and/or ShedLock
• Profound knowledge of REST, SOAP, and OpenAPI / Swagger
• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, API Lifecycle Management, and API Security
• Confident use of Maven, Sonar, and Git
• Good knowledge of relational database systems, especially PostgreSQL
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Very good understanding of agile software development, especially Scrum and DevOps
• Knowledge of relevant IT Service Management processes, especially Incident, Problem, Change Enablement, Service Level, and Availability Management
• Optional: Experience with the Boomi platform
