Senior Java Developer (Interim)

Project overview

As a senior Java developer, you will work within an agile team on the control applications for NS.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Developing and further developing the rolling stock (BAM), timetable (BAD), and personnel (BAP) control applications
• Coordinating with solution architects, developers, and the product owner on BAM renewal projects
• Refining designs provided by the architect
• Monitoring architectural frameworks within the development team
• Contributing to the architecture roadmap and future possibilities
• Daily coordination with software architects within the agile team
• 5 to 7 years of recent and relevant work experience as a developer in a complex IT landscape
• Demonstrable experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST web services (experience with Java EE, JMS, and Azure is a plus)
• Demonstrable experience with container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Excellent oral and written command of the Dutch language
• Familiarity with relational databases, preferably with knowledge of Oracle DB and PostgreSQL
• Demonstrable experience with multi-user systems, building user interfaces, and automated testing
• Background in asynchronous messaging solutions within real-time systems, experience with ActiveMQ is recommended
