Job description
Seeking a Senior License Manager to advise and support the "Licenses" sub-project, focusing on IT license requirements, procurement, and compliance. The role involves managing licenses, contracts, and related data, optimizing license models, and supporting contract negotiations.
Project overview
Consulting and operational support for the "Licenses" sub-project.
Clarification of IT license requirements from specialist departments and the FIT4B project.
Management of license procurement or the transfer of existing licenses from an IT service provider.
Ensuring compliance (internal and external regulations) regarding license, maintenance, and operating agreements for hardware, software, and cloud providers, as well as IT service providers.
Maintenance and administration of licenses, contracts, and associated data, as well as corresponding Jira tickets.
System coordination of the deployed license management and contract management software, clarification of interface issues for license measurement.
Analysis and optimization of license models and contracts, as well as recommendations for cost optimization.
Analysis and optimization of license processes.
Technical support for contract negotiations.
Requirements
Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
At least three years of experience in IT license and IT contract management, as well as IT procurement, ideally in the energy industry.
Knowledge of licenses for server/infrastructure, databases, and SaaS/Cloud solutions.
Experience with license processes and license measurement, including for data center applications and databases.
Knowledge of common license models (including Cloud) and license optimization.
Proficient and in-depth knowledge of at least one marketable license management/SAM tool (Raynet, Flexera, USU, Snow, Matrix42, etc.).
Ability to familiarize yourself with and reliably oversee complex contract structures, risks, and deadlines.
Basic knowledge of IT law and data protection is desirable.
Fluent German, very good English skills.
Structured, independent way of working combined with strong written and verbal communication skills.
