For the municipality of Schiedam, we are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 specialist who is strong in both operational and project management. The organization is looking for a broad senior who can tackle existing management and security issues, clear backlogs, and simultaneously provide direction for the further development of the modern workplace.
The assignment involves a combination of management, security, and project-based activities. There is a clear need for someone who can quickly understand what is happening within a Microsoft 365 environment and can independently initiate and realize improvements.

- Inventory the current Microsoft 365 and workplace environment.
- Advise on and implement improvements within the modern workplace.
- Assess and optimize security and compliance settings.
- Work with existing security policies and standards, including CIS benchmarks and similar security guidelines.
- Identify and resolve security and management-related bottlenecks.
- Clear backlogs in notifications and requests within the service desk environment (including Topdesk).
- Coordinate with administrators, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure proper completion of ongoing projects and improvement initiatives.
- Develop a realistic roadmap for further development of the modern workplace.
- Senior Microsoft 365 specialist with extensive practical experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern workplace concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft security issues and managing security policies.
- Familiar with CIS Benchmarks and other common security standards.
- Able to handle both operational and tactical issues.
- Independent, proactive, and able to quickly understand an environment.
- Strong communication skills and accustomed to operating within a complex organization.
- Hands-on mentality; not just advising but also actually realizing.
