Senior Microsoft Fabric Platform & AI Engineer

Responsibilities

Profile

• Design and implementation of the Microsoft Fabric target architecture, including workspace structure and governance model
• Configuration and administration of Fabric workspaces as well as relevant platform and tenant settings
• Setup of a clean environment structure (Development, Quality Assurance, Production) / Development and implementation of an Infrastructure-as-Code strategy using Terraform
• Creation of reusable Terraform modules and standardized deployment processes for Microsoft Fabric resources
• Setup and optimization of automated CI/CD pipelines for the deployment and further development of the platform
• Consulting on the migration of existing data solutions and replatforming towards Microsoft Fabric
• Conception and integration of AI functionalities within the data platform / Creation of technical operational, architectural, and user documentation
• Development of a Proof of Concept for the use of Data and AI services for data-based insights and analyses
• Definition and implementation of security, compliance, and governance requirements in the enterprise environment
• Close collaboration with infrastructure, data, and business departments on architectural and implementation decisions
• Profound experience in the setup and operation of cloud and data platforms based on Microsoft Azure
• Profound practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, especially workspace management, governance, Git integration, and platform administration
• Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
• Experience with Git-based development processes and CI/CD pipelines
• Know-how in Azure Networking, Private Endpoints, Private Link, DNS, and connectivity concepts
• Experience in the areas of Data Platform Architecture, Data Engineering, and AI Integration
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance requirements for enterprise platforms
• Experience in administering Microsoft Fabric at the workspace, capacity, and tenant level
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and role-based access control concepts
• Experience with Data & AI transformation projects in international corporate structures / Expertise in building scalable analytics and AI platforms
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
